MBMG is also the appointed marketing agent for some of the UK's leading growers groups, including Glenthorn Growers, Norfolk Premium Potatoes, East Lothian Potatoes and Bicker Growers Co-op. Produce is sourced from throughout the UK and to ensure year round availability product is also sourced from committed growers in Europe and Northern Africa.

As suppliers to all sectors of the market and with our own storage facilities and distribution department, MBMG can offer growers a comprehensive package of marketing services. We also offer wholecrop marketing, which remains the cornerstone of the business and indeed is vital in ensuring future sustainability for growers.

Depending on the intended market and crop to be produced, MBMG can also offer a range of procurement options and marketing agreements to growers, based on fixed price, free market and combinations in between. We pride ourselves on being part of a sound business, which enables us to be prompt in payment for loads purchased.

To ensure that quality potatoes, vegetables and salads are produced to the highest of standards our agronomists and fieldsmen work closely with our growers throughout the growing cycle offering advice on profitable and sustainable potato production as well as providing help to not only meet the necessary quality criteria but to also satisfy new demands and protocols. Crops are sampled both in the field and in store to ensure crops are marketed responsibly. Several of our fieldsmen are also Blight Scouts for the BPC, benefiting growers nationally.

All product is grown under the Assured Produce Scheme and growers are also encouraged to join voluntary environmental initiatives such as LEAF (Linking the Environment and Farming), FWAG (Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group) and the Countryside Stewardship scheme.

MBMG’s market position means that we are at the forefront of many developments in the potato industry, offering unique and tangible benefits to our committed growers. The ongoing development of alternative storage techniques with our partner Biofresh aims to reduce the amount of residues in potatoes whilst the new variety development programme is producing varieties that are more disease resistant and produce greater yields.
