Following the announcement on Tuesday 6th March 2007, Pepe Bascetta, MBMG’s Managing Director, has confirmed that MBM Produce Ltd, which trades as MBMG, has been sold by Premier Foods plc to Abbanoy Produce Holdings Ltd, a company that is owned by himself. Over the coming month the Management Team and Site and functional heads in the business will be invited to take a share in the business.

Mr Bascetta said ‘Under our own ownership, we believe we can drive the business forward faster and more successfully.

MBMG is a fresh produce business that has enormous potential, which can be realised through its customers, growers and people. MBMG pledges to continuously “add value” to both its customers and growers and their businesses through the continuous improvement of the MBMG business. Effective relationship management with all customers and growers is key to the success and growth for all involved.
